I hope not while flying the plane!

And right over beautiful Sopchoppy, I see. I would say "don't blink lest you miss it", but really, you'd be better off missing it. :)

Someone has to fly it. And yes, I am very familiar with Sopchoppy. I even have a user-defined GPS waypoint by that name. I was circling it at the time I sent that post.

Does this mean you have a new toy or were playing with an old one?

It's a new toy.

The satellite-based e-mail capability is just a side effect of the fact that it constantly sends all my parameters to my boss. It can also do satellite voice calls, but we don't have that hooked up.

Woo Hoo!! If you've got it, flaunt it! :-). (you definitely have bragging -rights with that gismo!)
..I don't know that I'd want my every move monitored, but OTOH, If I was the boss, I'd like to know my "kit" wasn't going off on private jollies.

have fun, take care.

//off sulking on ground.

heh.

Actually just getting ready to exercise to get my butt back in the air!

And thanks again for the emails...that was VERY cool. :D

I've been playing with something similar.. but not as cool.

Just real time tracking of your position using gps/sats. Using a service called SPOT.

Pretty cool, except the update time is only every 10 minutes.

Mine is about every minute. That makes it look really funny, because the tracking program just connects the dots, making it look like I fly very strange approaches.
