Wow, I'm going to Oshkosh! It's very last minute, and I'm only going to be there for three days, but I will be at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh this year. I've never been before, and I won't be there for the whole thing, only three days, but I think it will be amazing.
If you haven't heard of it, it is THE North American fly-in. It's going to be a good time, and if you're going. And if you went and didn't read blogs in time to see this, sorry! I really just found out. I'll tell you about how this happened all in good time.

Me too. See you in Aeroshell square August 1st 10:30 AM?

Hey- I'm going too! Is Aeroshell Square where the largest gathering of women pilots ever is going to happen? I assume you will be there-- if, that is, that covers the day you'll be there.
Yes, I'll look like hell, because I'm coming on a red-eye flight and camping in a small tent, but I'll be at the Aeroshell photo thing.
I've never been, so I can't suggest a good place/time to meet fellow bloggers and blog readers. Can anyone help?
You will be overwhelmed...
Which 3 days? Sounds like you'll miss the great "aviation blogger meet and greet" that Scott Spangler from JetWhine has on for Monday.
Everything is rather large... Aside from specifying one of the corners, even Aeroshell square may be tricky unless you know what folks look like.
Better to meet under the "Welcome to Oshkosh" sign (the "main" entrance west of the square) or at the entrance to one of the exhibition hangars (the southerly ones B and D are better since the doors gives a shady spot to wait).
I'll be there early Thursday morning, all of Friday, and then leaving Saturday.
Sweet! Have a good time.
Don't forget there's also the Podapolooza being run by the Pilotcast and a stack of other podcasting aviation lunatics that usually includes Jason Miller (The Finer Points), Will Hawkins (The Pilot's Flight), Steve Tupper (Airspeed Online) and the UCAP guys.
6pm on Friday night August 1 in Forum pavillion #4 - they're also broadcasting live on EAA Radio.
Sadly, I'm down here in Oz and aren't able to make the pilgrimage, so I'll just have to rely on blogs, podcasts and news pages :(
You should be easy to spot with the green hair and red shirt, right?
I'm making my first trip, too. I'll be the (one of dozens) of guys camping next to a red/white/blue Mooney. It would be fun to meet the famous Aviatrix!
YESSSS!!!
I am so jealous. I can't make it this year but have been begging one of my kids to go with me.
You will have an incredible time. The airplanes and all things aviation are fantastic, but i think it's really a wonderful community.
Have fun!
Very cool Aviatrix! You'll have a blast even if you're only there a couple of days.
Aviatrix, No! You can't give up your secret identity. Get a shirt or hat silkscreened "Avatrix" and send a ringer, then hang around and watch!
(Seriously, enjoy.I'm the one who won't be there).
I can't go but I wish I could.
