Everyone was speaking in hushed shouts. (You have to shout to be heard above a Herc's engines in the back, but we were sort of reverent in that beauty and thankful realizing we were going to get home). Visibility was too low for a student pilot like me to fly.<br /><br />On my way out the door an hour later, I crossed paths with an IFR-rated pilot. She had her worn Jepps in hand and a pair of sunglasses perched on the top of her head. "I got to see the sun today!" she declared.<br /><br />That was when I decided that, some day, I'd get an instrument rating, too.
