The people I work with sometimes give me decimal degrees, and I have to convert in my head (thank you, ancient Babylonians) but I thought that was the resultof their bad software. I didn't expect a self-identified clueless observer to default to decimal degrees.Aviatrixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13634111275860140084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10000144.post-38541129134298949502017-06-02T13:10:19.017+00:002017-06-02T13:10:19.017+00:00Not a typo in this case.

I plotted the coordinates for a a logging longlining operation, and discovered it to be in the ocean. The briefer who confirmedthe error said the NOTAM had been out for months.Aviatrixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13634111275860140084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10000144.post-72611877046317085882017-06-02T01:25:59.526+00:002017-06-02T01:25:59.526+00:00A clueless observer comment: When I plug what loo...A clueless observer comment: When I plug what looks like the GPS from that NOTAM into an online map, I get a farm about 28 km south of the aerodrome. Would be interested to know what I'm getting wrong.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17454310627346245753noreply@blogger.com
