Ms. Mock did a lot of other things to promote aviation and women in aviation, but most of them "quietly". She was not some sort of 'wonky' "Evangelist" or zealot. Her stated reason for making the flight was: I just wanted to have a little fun in my airplaneā

One of the better reasons I could ever think of. Too bad that today "fun" and airplanes tend to be diametrically opposed.

Look her up on Wikipedia. And yes, "little airplanes" can do big things ... I've always been a big Cessna 180 fan.

Happy anniversary, Jerrie.Dave Starrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05853160665847969116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10000144.post-3445323546395360702014-04-17T13:10:39.664+00:002014-04-17T13:10:39.664+00:00Thank you for posting this, an amazing woman..Thank you for posting this, an amazing woman..Dave Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05085253764274728800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10000144.post-91192056465099268782014-04-17T02:49:27.820+00:002014-04-17T02:49:27.820+00:00Well, so much for cut and pasting the link dealiet...Well, so much for cut and pasting the link dealiethingee.
Majrojhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16465853229783059051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10000144.post-91436210436367559542014-04-17T02:48:10.977+00:002014-04-17T02:48:10.977+00:00A Cessna!?
